I am the District 7 President Elect!!!

Sunday was our District Meeting for the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary. It was a wonderful day. My daughter "H" went with us since she is a Jr. Girl. We had a lot of fun with the raffle drawings and then the business portion of the meeting.
I was voted in as President for District 7 of the Department of Missouri. I will not take over the duties of President until June 20,2010. That is the day after the Department President is installed in office.
Tonight is the instalation of the Auxiliary and Post so I will be installed as Auxiliary President also. I am so blessed.

Took Long Enough.

Finally got confirmation that all of the Year End Repots were received by the Department chairmen. Now I can relax and have fun when I hear my Auxilairy number being called again, and again, and again. hahaha

Don't know why some chairmen won't return phone calls. I called one lady 8 times before I got a return call and then it was from her MOTHER. I guess she didn't like the message I left on her phone. Maybe it was the tone of my voice, or maybe it was that I told her I was EXPECTING a return call from her TODAY. Huh.

I was voted in again as President of my local Ladies Auxilairy VFW. I will be installed on May 4th. A good friend of mine will be there to do the honors. She is the Department Conductruss this year. She installed me last year too. Ohhhh exciting times.

Who died for you?

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you. Jesus Christ and American Service Men. One died for your soul. The other died for your freedom. Thank Them Both Today.

Historic Day

The media has toted this day as an historic day. Another word they are using is "defining day". 40 Million dollars is the estimated cost of the parties, security and salaries for just today alone.

The Bible tells us that we are to pray for our leaders. That is what I have been doing for the past 20 years.....since I became a Christian......and I will continue to pray for the leaders of our Nation.

The future is uncertain. The Word tells us that we can not count on tomorrow, yet we can count on the Lord. Whatever He has in store for our Country, I know that I am secure in His hands.

The United States should continue to stand up for Israel. Stand up by her if we are needed. The Bible tells us that those who bless Israel, the Lord will bless also. This is something that is not only the obligation of a Nation but the obligation of each individual to lift this Nation of Israel up in prayer and to support them in their sovereignty.

President Obama, I pray that the Lord will guide you in all your endevors whhile you lead this great country of ours. God Bless you Sir, and your entire family.

Happy 4th of July 2007

It is such a great day to celebrate the birthday of this great country of mine. Just think...we have a free country today because people came to this new world for freedom of religion. Those men and women wanted to worship our Lord and Savior in a fashion that was NOT state sponsered. What does that mean?
State sponsered means when the state tells you how to worship. At this time in history, the English people had to worship the way the king or queen told them to. Queen Mary was Catholic so she hunted down the protestants and had them either jailed or put to death. She went even so far as to having ehr sister Elizabeth locked up in the Tower for being Protestant. Once Elizabeth became queen of England she told the people that they could worshhip however they wanted to, just as long as they were "quiet" about it. Now you know what state sponsered means.
Religious freedom in this country means ANY religious form. People can worship the Trinity, they can worship God alone, they can worship Satan, they can even worship "mother earth" and be safe from arrest.
But will our country ALWAYS be that way? I can only pray that it will be. My prayer is that the Rapture will happen before I see my great country fall from the grace of God that now holds us together inspite of all the types of worship that goes on.
